Temp Ophthalmic Technician (Healthcare, 6 months) #HKN

Location: Outram

Working hours: 5.25 work week (alternate Sat)

Salary: $2,000 to $2,200

Contract Duration: 6 months

Job descriptions:

• Assist ophthalmologists in conducting eye examinations and supporting the diagnosis of ocular conditions.
• Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic and screening tests across various subspecialties, including glaucoma assessment and screening procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic database system.
• Provide administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Adapt quickly and achieve competency in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the supervisor or department

Job requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and able to work independently.
• Prior knowledge of eye anatomy, ophthalmic procedures, or eye conditions will be an advantage, but is not essential as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Patient-oriented with a genuine interest in healthcare and patient care.
