Asst Manager - Legal Office (Healthcare Industry, Ex Insurance sector welcome!)

Job Description

The Challenges

• Managing the Hospital's insurance portfolio and claims administration including identifying and analysing the risk exposures of the Hospital as part of good risk management practice
• Providing advice on malpractice issues and matters relating to general property and public liability
• To plan, drive and manage quality improvement projects at Hospital-Wide/Departmental level as well as provide active support for staff training and equipping
• To be a change agent and inculcate mindset change for Hospital-Wide/Departmental level initiatives and establish a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork
• Under the direction of the Legal Services Manager, prepares time sensitive Court filings as well as supplemental documents that are required for court ordered evaluation. This includes performing all necessary filings as to maximize efficiency of patient care needs.
• The organization is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AM (Legal Contracts Administrator). This role works closely with the General Counsel and Associate Counsel to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the contracts management system. 
• The AM (Legal Contracts Administrator) will be the point person for all things contracts and will also help ensure that the legal department runs smoothly.Create / review initial contract drafts
• Manage and update legal contract templates and our best-practice contract clause library

The Requirements

• Min Degree holder with professional qualifications in Insurance and Risk Management (ACII or AAII qualified)
• On-the-job training from administering the claims processes for both the Medical Malpractice Liability Insurance and Property Insurance portfolios
• Preferably at least 8 years of related experience in insurance administration and risk management work
