PD-PA, Data Governance/ Data Protection Specialist (Healthcare, Govt)

Job Description

Broad Function

Support the Data Protection Office in developing, implementing, and continually strengthening the Data Protection Framework to ensure the organization is in full compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PD-PA), and Group Data Protection Policy, and other data protection laws.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• To support in developing good policies for handling personal data
• To communicate policies and processes to customers and employees and handle incoming queries
• To alert organization of any personal data risks
• To work with Data Protection Leads from other departments to oversee organization’s compliance with PD-PA policies and processes in terms of governance, policies and procedures, incident reporting, communications, and compliance assessment
• To assist in liaising with Personal Data Protection Commission and Ministry of Health as required

Requirements 

• Min Possess a degree in any discipline
• Minimal of 2 years working experience preferably in healthcare industry and holding a role in overseeing process improvements, data protection, risk management, or compliance audit
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and project management skills
• Good team player
• Able to work independently
