•  Ensure that the nursing care provided to patients is in accordance with the approved standard of nursing practice implemented/recommended by Singapore Nursing Board.
•  Responsible for all matters or activities that relate to the Nursing Department. He/she shall ensure the smooth daily operations, including staffing, admissions, discharges and financial matters.
•  Ensure that in-service education and continuous nursing education are progressively inducted into the organization with collaboration of external agencies.
•  Compile and submit monthly statistics as required by Ministry of Health.
•  Plan, drive and manage quality improvement projects at Hospital Wide/Departmental level as well as provide active support for staff training and equipping.

General Duties

•  Be responsible for leading, directing, planning and assessing the delivery of competent and safe quality patient care related activities and conceiving effective strategies in the nursing department.
•  Lead with vision and passion to realize the nursing strategic objectives and engage the nursing team to comply with organization plan that delineates line of authority, accountability and communications.
•  Ensure that budget plans are properly implemented and objectives met. Coordinate, track and plan yearly department work plans, capital, operational and training budget requirements for the nursing department.
•  Promote and maintain harmonious working relationships among interdepartmental staff, nursing staff, patient and members of the public.
•  Provide and guide the development and productive performance of nursing personnel.
•  Motivate and encourage nursing personnel to participate actively and consciously in providing optimal nursing care to patients.
•  Communicate effectively with Director of Nursing (DN), informing of the latest development or challenges occurring within the nursing department.
•  Establish an effective networking relationship with Ministry of Health and other external agencies/institutions.
•  Participate actively in relevant work projects and any other duties as assigned.

Requirement : 

• Min 7-8 years of nursing mgmt experience
• Keen to move into community setting
